This is one of my favorite houses. I first saw it featured in the NY Times Magazine a while back and fell in love with it. I still have the tear sheets in my design files. Designed by Marmol and Radziner Architects in LA, the Venice CA home is clean and unfussy. It seamlessly integrates the outdoor spaces with the interior for a beautifully cohesive whole. The sunken kitchen is located at the center of the house, the heart of the home, and looks out to the pool. Click the above link for more images and the full article Via Remodelista.

This beautiful modern home uses the curtain glass walls to make the most of the stunning surrounding views. Even the outdoor "canopy" is open to the sky. Having just finished a documentary on Julius Shulman and his incredible career documenting the modern masterpieces of the past century, I love how this home embodies the best of the modernist principles and is reminiscent of Pierre Keonig's case study house #22. The best part, it's for rent! ( if you can afford it)

Having just moved to a new brownstone w classic details like 2 white marble fireplaces, my girlfriend and I were inspired by the rich dark grey wall colors. With the warm wood floors and crisp white trim details our new home is quite the serene environment while bringing forth the lux feel we were looking for. The neutral colors are also a great backdrop for our colorful abstract paintings and drawings.
